We are happy to invite you to the World Interfaith Harmony Week Prayer Program on Sunday, February 14, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the “Peace Embassy”, 1611 Upshur Street, NW, Washington, DC 20011.  20002.

World Interfaith Harmony Week was first proposed at the UN General Assembly on September 23, 2010 by H.M. King Abdullah II of Jordan and unanimously adopted on October 20, 2010.

It is hoped that this initiative will provide a focal point from which all people of goodwill can recognize that the common values they hold with other faiths are far more important than the differences that exist, and will thus provide a strong incentive toward peace and harmony for our communities and nations.

UPF supports H.M. King Abdullah II’s initiative.  UPF envisions humanity as “One Global Family under God”.  UPF encourages people of all faiths, and people of conscience to engage in peace-making through dialogue that can result in the development of vital relationships for understanding one another and to help overcome prejudice, hatred and discrimination that divide us and prevent us from living together in peace and harmony.

We look forward to seeing you at the program. Your RSVP is requested or call our office at (202) 636-3236.
